Daughter of Holocaust Survivors. Featured in the powerful documentary “Never Again is Now.”
Evelyn Markus is a daughter of Dutch Jewish Holocaust survivors. She is originally from the Netherlands. As she witnessed and experienced a new wave of antisemitism and anti-gay violence in Europe, mainly coming from Muslim immigrants, she decided to leave, and immigrated to the United States in 2006.
Glenn Beck’s The Blaze TV made the documentary “Never Again Is Now” about Evelyn Markus’ personal experience with the rising hatred and violence from Muslims against Jews and gays in the streets of Europe. Her story is told against the backdrop of the Nazi’s hatred against her parents 70 years earlier during the Holocaust, and the parallel is drawn between the Nazi ideology then and radical Islam today, and America’s role in defending freedom.
Evelyn holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She is specialized in aggression, violence, trauma, and conflict resolution and owns a coaching & consulting business in these areas. She also became an activist against resurging antisemitism since 2000. She co-founded a Dutch non-profit organization called: “Network on Antisemitism”, and consulted for the Anne Frank House on combating antisemitism of Dutch Muslim youth, and for the USC Shoah Foundation in Los Angeles. Additionally, her articles are being published in leading Dutch newspapers, and in the American online magazines Gatestone Institute and FrontPage Magazine, and she addresses resurging antisemitism as a speaker. Evelyn’s analysis of today’s antisemitism led her to educating herself about radical Islam and how it operates around the globe. She teams up with politicians, national security experts and activists who defend freedom against radical Islam and who seek to reform the religion. Evelyn currently divides her time between her activism and her consulting business.
Evelyn’s documentary “Never Again is Now” was created by the founders of the Full Story Foundation.
