WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THIS YEAR’S NATIONAL CONFERENCE?

This year’s National Conference take place on Monday, October 2nd – Tuesday, October 3rd.

WHERE WILL THE CONFERENCE TAKE PLACE?

The main venue for our 2017 Conference is the Crystal Gateway Marriott, in Arlington, Virginia – just across the river from Washington, DC.  The Metro line is directly under the hotel, as is an entire “city” of restaurants, shops, and service providers.

WHAT IS THE COST TO REGISTER FOR THE FULL CONFERENCE?

Our Early Bird Rate is: $299 per person, for standard registration to our conference.  But this special low rate ends at midnight on the last day of June!

Starting on July 1st, the registration shifts to our standard rate: $350

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Any registration cancellations before June 1st, will be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations between June and July 1st will receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds after July 1st.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE?

Registration can be done easily on-line at actcon.us/register.  You can also call our National Office at 202-601-4169 and ask for Petey Browder.  She will be more than happy to assist you!

WHAT IS COVERED IN THE COST OF THE CONFERENCE?

We are proud that the Agenda for each year’s ACT for America National Conference is jam-packed and this year is no exception.  You may find an Agenda, that will be periodically updated, on our national conference website, (actcon.us/agenda).

Your registration includes:

A full day of speakers during our General Session Segments (Monday, October 2nd) – check out our list of confirmed speakers, to-date on our website!

Our annual Awards Luncheon (Monday, October 2nd) with former Trump Spokesperson, Katrina Pierson as our special Keynoter.

Our famous annual Dinner Gala (Tuesday, October 3rd). 

And, for our top level sponsors, many exciting extras, including a VIP lunch at the famous Capitol Hill Club on Capitol Hill (Tuesday, October 3rd)

There is no charge to attend the Capitol Hill National Security Legislative Briefing.

ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ME TO BE A SPONSOR OF THIS YEAR’S CONFERENCE?

Yes, we have sponsorship opportunities at a variety of levels to accommodate those who wish to do a little more to help our event.  No matter what level a sponsorship, however, our sponsors allow us to make our events successful and better each year.

Our sponsorship levels this year are as follows:

PATRIOT SPONSOR - $1,500.  Includes: One (1) National Conference Registration; recognition from the podium at the gala banquet; recognition in the event program.

CAPITOL CLUB SPONSOR - $2,500.  Includes: Two (2) National Conference Registrations; Preferred seating for general sessions and gala banquet; recognition from the podium at the gala banquet; recognition in the event program.

PRESIDENT’S CLUB SPONSOR - $5,000.  Includes: Two (2) National Conference Registrations; invitation for two (2) to a private Chairman’s Circle lunch with Brigitte Gabriel on Tuesday at an exclusive location on Capitol Hill; preferred seating for general sessions and gala banquet; recognition from the podium at the gala banquet; recognition in the event program.

CHAIRMAN’S CIRCLE SPONSOR - $10,000.  Includes: Four (4) National Conference Registrations; invitation for two (2) to a private Chairman’s Circle lunch with Brigitte Gabriel on Tuesday at an exclusive location on Capitol Hill; pre-conference cocktails at, and private tour of, the historic Trump International Hotel with Brigitte Gabriel; preferred seating for general session and gala banquet; recognition from the podium at the gala banquet; recognition in the event program.

CAN I REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE ON-SITE?

No.  We will close our registration at midnight on Thursday, September 28th.  No walk-ins will be allowed. No exceptions.

IS THERE A SPECIAL HOTEL RATE FOR THE CONFERENCE?

Yes, ACT for America has secured a special standard room, per night rate of $250 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, our event venue this year.  In order to secure that special rate, you must either mention the ACT for America conference when calling to reserve your hotel room, or use our special hotel link on our registration page to secure your room.

WHY IS THIS YEAR’S HOTEL RATE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN LAST YEAR’S?

Over the last several years, we have held our National Conference during the long Labor Day weekend, which is a “slow time” for hotels in the Washington, DC area.  Therefore, we were able to secure very low hotel room rates.

After feedback from attendees, we decided not to hold the event over the holiday weekend this year.  Hotel rates in and around our Nation’s Capital are always higher than other locations because there is always something going on (i.e. conferences, meetings, etc.) and demand for hotel rooms is very high.   We always work hard to secure the lowest possible rate for our events.

ARE THERE OTHER HOTELS AROUND THE AREA AT WHICH THE CONFERENCE WILL OCCUR?

Yes.  There are many hotels around the Crystal City area – which is very close to National Airport.  That said, expect that most of the hotels will be similar in rate to the Crystal Gateway Marriott.  A quick Google search will help you see other hotel options that you may wish to check out.

WHEN SCHEDULING TRANSPORTATION TO WASHINGTON, DC, WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AND WHEN SHOULD I DEPART?

Our conference kicks off bright and early the morning of Monday, October 2nd, so attendees will want to arrive to Washington, DC the day/night before, on Sunday, October 1st

And our conference ends after our annual Dinner Gala on Tuesday, October 3rd – around 10:00 p.m., so we recommend that transportation back home be scheduled for the next day, Wednesday, October 4th.

WHAT AIRPORT IS CLOSEST TO THE EVENT?

Reagan National Airport is only 2 miles from the Crystal Gateway Marriott.

DOES THE CRYSTAL GATEWAY MARRIOTT HAVE A FREE SHUTTLE TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT?

Yes, the hotel offers complimentary shuttle service only from Reagan Airport.  The shuttle phone number is:: 703-920-3230.

Other options are Taxi, Uber, and the Metro.  There is a Metro station directly under the hotel.

WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT AT THE HOTEL?

Check in at the Crystal Gateway Marriott is 4:00 p.m.

Check out is at 12:00 noon.

WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY RESTRICTIONS OR REQUIRE ANY OTHER SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS?

We are happy to do our best to accommodate our event attendees as much as possible.  Please call our office to let us know so we can be aware of how we can be of help to you.  If we are not aware of special needs prior to the conference, we cannot guarantee that you will be accommodated.

WHAT SECURITY MEASURES WILL BE IN PLACE DURING THE CONFERENCE?

Though we have never had a serious security issue during our National Conference, we still take security VERY seriously.  We will have a full team of plain-clothed security personnel on hand at all times, and we will work with the security team of our venue, the Crystal Gateway Marriott, as well.  Of course, security on Capitol Hill is always very tight.

As part of our security protocol, our conference attendees MUST WEAR THEIR NAME BADGE LANYARDS, WHICH WILL BE PROVIDED UPON CHECK-IN, AT ALL TIMES WHEN ACCESSING CONFERENCE EVENTS….EVEN ON CAPITOL HILL.  No one will be allowed admittance to any conference event without an official event name badge lanyard.

CAN I REGISTER TO ATTEND ONLY THE TUESDAY NIGHT DINNER GALA?

Yes.  The cost to attend only our Dinner Gala is $150 per person.

I AM A STUDENT.  IS THERE A SPECIAL REGISTRATION RATE FOR ME?

We are offering defined students a special registration rate of $49 to attend our Monday General Session Segments and our Monday Awards Luncheon ONLY.  Attendance at our Tuesday evening Dinner Gala requires an additional payment of $150

IS THERE A STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM THIS YEAR?

No.  This year there will be no student scholarship program.  But you can attend the conference at a discounted rate if you are a student and bring your student I.D.

CAN I ATTEND ONLY THE CAPITOL HILL NATIONAL SECURITY BRIEFING? IF SO, WHAT IS THE COST FOR THAT EVENT?

Yes, you can attend only the Capitol Hill Briefing.  The event is free of charge.  However, if you wish to attend the briefing you must let us know by Thursday, September 28th.  Please contact Petey Browder in our National Office at 202-601-4169.  When you arrive to the briefing room, please check in at our registration desk.
